Recycling Guidelines

RECYCLING PICKUP 101 -- The Basics!

**GLASS, PLASTIC, METAL**
--"YES" TO 1st BIN:
(1) Put all GLASS in a PAPER BAG and put in bin (wash first, all colors OK)
(2) Put everything else into a bag and place in same bin (plastic, metal, bottles w/necks, soda cans, food cans, aluminum foil, nails, screws, etc.)
--NO TO 1st BIN:
(1) NO light bulbs, NO flower vases, NO drinking glasses, NO window glass

**PAPER ONLY**
--"YES" TO 2nd BIN:
(1) Bag all "loose paper"--newspaper, magazines, junk mail, office paper, etc.
(2) Bag other "paper" items--egg cartons, shoe/cracker/cereal/beverage boxes, EMPTY paper/toilet rolls, greeting cards, yellow pages, wrapping paper, etc.
--"NO" to 2nd Bin:
(1) NO paper towels, wax-coated paper boxes, foil wrapping paper, food-contaminated material (pizza boxes)
TIP: Flatten large pieces of cardboard (up to 36 inches) and place under bin.

WHERE TO RECYCLE PLASTIC FOOD TUBS AND BAGS THAT WON'T BE PICKED UP CURBSIDE:
