Neighborhood Events
1. WEHA Spring Clean-up: Our Common Areas and some of our back yard areas were cleaned up on Saturday April 15th by a small group of volunteers. Thanks go out to those who represented our 100 families by coming together on Saturday to spend a little time picking up trash, trimming trees and looking into other ways to make our community shine a little bit better. We also thank those who contacted the board with regrets due to commitments, and everyone who helps keep the neighborhood one of Norman?¡?¦s finest by continuously picking up trash and debris on sight, and contacting the board about problems. If you are a walker along Porter Street or if you notice a lack of trash and debris which once existed somewhere, you can find Saturday?¡?¦s volunteers named on our website chat board.

2. Community Garage Sale: Saturday, April 29th. Call your voluntary board for information.

3. Yard of the Month: Cleveland County Master Gardeners will begin judging in May. Monthly prizes will again be awarded, thanks to the voluntary work of our Yards Committee chair in soliciting donations.

4. Children?¡?¦s Costume Party Coordinator needed: If our October Costume Party is to happen, we need a volunteer to act as coordinator of the committee. Please contact the board for information.

Neighborhood News & Issues
1. The pool is open! We?¡?¦ve put a lot of $$ into re-surfacing/re-tiling the pool. Please be responsible when
using the facilities. Re-read the signs, clean up after yourselves and your children (especially the
bathrooms), and lock the gate and bathroom-access door if you?¡?¦re the last to leave. Also, please contact
the board if you see any malfeasance in the use of the facilities. Parents please remember: your
children as well as their friends are your responsibility. If they?¡?¦re old enough to use the pool area
without your supervision, we ask that you still take full responsibility for safety and the clean up of the
area. We are soliciting help from all users as well as watchful homeowners adjacent to the pool and
clubhouse area in reporting anyone not abiding by the rules of safety and cleanliness.

2. Neighborhood Watch: We are seeking volunteers to further bolster our program by becoming
Block Captains. You will find useful information in the community pages on our website. Also
remember, you can always contact this board with any concerns, under full anonymity.

3. For the value of all of our homes, we thank you to remember:
--Keep unsightly articles and debris out of front and side yards.
--Keep exterior fences maintained at all times (work with your neighbors on interior fence lines).
--Try to park cars off the narrow streets and in your garage, and do not block the sidewalks.
--Boats or trailers of any kind cannot be kept in front of your house longer than for loading/unloading.

4. Attention dog-walkers: Please remember that leashes are required by city ordinance, clean-up of any mess is expected by your neighbors, and reporting to the board any failure in the above is appreciated.
