Windybush Civic Assn.

Civic Association Meeting 9/30/07

Attending our meeting was State Representative, Bryon Short. He has already gotten the neighborhood some requested signs and is looking into the pooling water at the entrance to the development. He told us that some of our streets are on the DelDot list to possibly be redone next fall.

Several people have expressed interest in having a more up-to-date neighborhood directory. Please include your name, address, phone number and e-mail address with your dues stub to insure your listing in the new directory.

Due to increases in insurance, snow plowing costs, tree removals, it was voted to increase the annual dues to $20.00. Over 140 residents paid their dues last year—let's go for 100% for this year!

Thanks to Jim Murphy for keeping the weeds away from our entrance!

Our website is www.windybush.org . In addition to neighborhood news, it now includes a "virtual yard sale". Posting of items is free; there is a 10% charge for sold items. This fee is to be paid to the WCA treasurer. We are also looking into the legal aspects of having a message board on our website.

When you have a vehicle parked on the street, please put at least two tires up on the yard, so that our roadways (many of which are curvy) can be negotiated safely.

The Windybush Swim Club will be offering a limited number of "family specials" for the 2007 swim season, available to new members for $250 for a family of four. The swim club offers families fun and sun within walking distance of most homes in Windybush. Members enjoy swimming, swim team and swim lessons, and many social events including Kids Carnival, teen parties, holiday events, crab feast, and adult socials. The club also offers an $85.00 senior special for the season. For existing club members, refer a new member and receive a $50.00 discount on your own membership. Hurry, only a limited number of specials will be available for the 2006 season. For more membership information, please visit the club's website at www.windybushpool.com or call (302) 478-8498.

Reminders:
WALKERS!!!!!!   Walk facing traffic for your safety.
Please trim roadside bushes to allow for unobstructed visibility.
Look for our sign at the entrance of the development; it will announce coming events.
