Windy Hills Civic Assn.

We just moved to Windy Hills on March of 2011. We live at S. Dillwyn Road. Just wanted to say it's a beautiful neighbor, friendly neighbors, and quiet. But we noticed something that concern us since we have a 3 year old, and I know there are kids on our development, we noticed cars going so fast thru our street, I mean fast that they are even going at least 45mph, they even fly thru the speed bumps. We as parents and neighbors should bring this up to the attention to make sure our kids don't get hurt, or even anyone who is working out on the house or taking out trash or even going for a walk, what will happen if  a car goes out of control. I remember i was outside last weekend with my husband cleaning the garden, and I swear this SUV most of been going at least 50 mph on our street, flying thru the speed bumps. Please bring this to attention before some one gets hurt. thank you.

Get a description of the vehicle and a tag # and CALL THE POLICE.  They will pay them a visit.  I agree that speeders are a big problem in Windy Hills,  but we need to take action ourselves, we can not wait for someone else to do it.

Again, YOU need to take action. If you know who the person is, then approach them and politely ask that they slow down. Explain to them your concerns and why it is important to slow down and drive at a safe speed.

If they continue to speed, then CALL THE POLICE.  Give them  the address of the person who is speeding. The police WILL pay them a visit.
