Winding Way

Early Approvals Pay Off

Feb 01, 2011

Although it is often said that it is easier to beg forgiveness than to seek permission, this is not the case when you are considering an architectural change.

The Winding Way Association must approve any hardscape changes. Common examples include exterior paint, new roofs, and block walls visible from the street.

The Board is committed to seeing the homeowner get what they want but must, at the same time, consider the interests of the Association as a whole. That is why, for example, the Board does not approve "Mediterranean" style changes, or asphalt roofs.

Always submit proposed changes to the board in advance at or prior to the monthly meetings. The meetings are held at 7 pm on the third Wednesday of each month on the second floor of the Brea Civic Center in the Hickory Conference Room.
