Neighborhood Watch Program

Posted in: Oakwood Hills
It has been suggested Oakwood Hills start a neighborhood watch program. Is there interest? If so, does any neighbor have a contact at the police department to give us information?

Neighborhood Watch Program

Oakwood Hills had, at one time, a neighbood watch program, which was established in the mid 80's. We had a meeting with a uniformed police officer at Smith's on 42nd Terrace, because a house on Oakview Lane had been broken into. Since that time, our neighborhood has grown immensely, and may no longer be in affect.

I notice the Neighborhood Watch sign is still located at the entrance of 43rd Terrace and Adams.

Did I read in the paper that a house in our neighborhood was broken into on the 12th of November? What needs to be done to get the program updated?

This would be a good time of year with Christmas around the corner.

Speaking of Christmas is everybody decorating this year?
