WAC Recs & Parks Chair Seeks Public Feedback

Mar 31, 2004

JoEllen Locke, Chair of the WAC Recs & Parks Committee, is curently seeking public input/feedback in regards to recreational facilities in the Westland Area.

The Committee is working with the Columbus Recs and Parks Department to formulate a plan that can be used to acquire and develop park and recreational facilities in the Westland Area.
Seeing as the Westland Area is made up of a diverse population, it is important for the Committee to solict feedback so that everyone has the chance to offer their opinions and ideas.
The eventual goal is a community park with a rec center. However, the make-up of the park needs to be addressed. Do we want things such as soccer fields, baseball fields, bike/walking paths, shelter areas, etc.? These are the things that the Committee wants to hear from the public, as the Committee and the WAC works to represent all residents of the Westland Area.

If you would like to offer you comments/suggestions, you may contact JoEllen Locke at 878-6004.
