Added Police Patrol

Below is the response I received from Sgt. Epperly at the Hefner Briefing Station: Patti Cassidy

The extra patrol is posted. Here is a list of what I would tell the residents. Please let me know if you need anything else.

#1. Park your vehicles inside your garage.
#2. Keep your overhead garage door closed when not in use.
#3. If you can’t park inside your garage, remove all valuables from your vehicle. That includes your garage door opener transmitter. Never keep anything of value in your unattended vehicle.
#4. Keep a record of any serial & model numbers of any electronic device that is installed in your vehicle.
#5. Never leave your keys inside your vehicle, even if you do park inside your garage.
#6. Utilize all of your exterior lighting, from sunset to sunrise.
#7. If you must park outside overnight, street parking should be your very last choice.
#8. To prevent the theft of your vehicle (if you must park outside overnight), consider having a “kill” switch installed in your vehicle.
#9. Call 9-1-1 (as soon as possible) if anything suspicious occurs. Any delay in calling 9-1-1 significantly lessens the chance that the police will catch the offend
