The summer has been a hot one-and not just the temperature. Volunteers have been working hard, and have succeeded in raising the fiscal match for the State Historical Fund Grant. This is the grant that has provided funds to survey the historical significance of our neighborhood's businesses, schools, homes and churches. The outcome of this survey will inform us if East Wash Park has enough of its original brick and mortar left for it to be considered for possible historic district designation.
