Who? The Walthall Creek SRC is open to all families living in Walthall Creek, Walthall Mill, or South Creek Subdivisions. The club is not associated with any of the Home Owners Associations. It is run by volunteer members of the club. Historically, the club has served 40 to 50 families each year.

What? The club is comprised of a pool facility consisting of a L-shaped pool with various depths and a ?“baby?” pool that is two feet deep. There are also two tennis courts and bathroom facilities on the property. Members receive a key to the facilities and are free to utilize them at any time during operating hours.

Why join? The club provides a private, community oriented facility to spend hot summer days. The pool not only serves as a terrific venue to socialize with neighbors and enjoy swimming and tennis but is also the principle common amenity our subdivisions boast.

How much? Membership dues have remained consistent for the past several years and will not increase this year. Families pay $350 to utilize the facilities from May 23rd through September 1st. In order for the pool to generate enough income to pay fixed costs such as electric bills, grounds keeping, insurance, pool maintenance, property taxes, etc. the pool must maintain a minimum membership or face closing.


How do I join? To join, simply email walthallcreeksrc@gmail.com no later than May 15th and indicate your intention for membership in 2009. Membership interest will be tallied on May 16th and a decision will be made if there is enough interest to open the pool this year. You will be notified of the decision via email on May 16th. If the pool does open, you will be notified immediately of payment and key issuing procedures. Full payments will be due by May 23rd.

What about the socials? At this time, the social calendar for this year has not been completed. Conducting socials requires volunteer support and the club is still in the process of forming its leadership for this year. Previous years?’ social events have included Fourth of July celebrations and ice cream socials.

The Future. Currently, the pool?’s condition is sufficient to safely operate and provide a summer full of fun. However, the club understands that capital improvements are required to modernize the facility bringing them in line with newer subdivisions and to better serve our community.

How can I help? If you are interested in serving on the board or assisting with socials or other functions as a committee member, please indicate that in your membership email. The club belongs to the members and volunteerism is needed for the club to be successful. Members serving on the board do join at a reduced rate.
