Monday night at the Mary Rigg Center proved to be a good start in the neighborhood for West Indy.

Dr Eugene White from IPS came and met with the neighbors about the redistricting of Washington community school, the school dress code, and the remaking of School 46.

The meeting went very well with the neighborhood getting their point across and being very passionate about their schools. Dr White was impressed with the people who talked about having 4-5 generations of their families going to the IPS schools in this area. He promised to do everything in his power to see that Washington boundaries stay as they are and School 46 (Daniel Webster Elem.) turns into a K-8 so that it can stay open and viable for our community.
