Village at the Knoll Townhouse Neighbors

As residents of the Southglenn area for eight years, we have enjoyed the quiet and stable neighborhood environment that Southglenn offers -- except for one thing: Neighbors who feel an overwhelming need to go onto another person's property to "correct" what they feel is a problem. Late last night two "neighbors" (I use the term loosely), pulled up several vines and assorted flowers then threw them onto my lawn. Apparently these people felt the foliage was a problem that needed to be corrected. Allow me to say three things: 1. If there is a problem that violates the covenants then it needs to be addressed through formal channels. 2. What they did is trespassing. 3. This is also criminal mischief. I'll be out and about on my property with camera in hand. Your photos/names/addresses will be given to the Arapahoe County Sheriff and I will file a formal complaint and seek restitution. Covenants are good for the betterment of the community. What I'm seeing, however, is a rogue band of vigilantes with a warped sense of justice. Don't step over that line.

So here's an update, folks, on the "neighborly" tresspassing and criminal mischief my family has endured for eight years: It continues. A neighbor sprayed one of our bushes with defoliant. The leaves are dead/dying. So what was intent of that? Or is this the work of a demented vigilante with nothing else to do? And, of course, it was done in the dead of night.

   Did you see my post on our dead cat which I found in our yard? He was very friendly and loved everybody. It wasn't another animal that killed him. A necropsy showed he had been poisoned. Another kind act by a Southglenn neighbor.

   Further, while mowing I was accosted by a "neighbor" who threatened to take legal action if I didn't trim our bushes to her liking. I explained that the foliage met City of Centennial legal requirements.

   So here's the deal, people. The gloves are off. You want legal action, you'd better have deep pockets as it's legal action you will get. Not only are you trespassing but you are destroying our property. Was poisoning our pet part of your warped vision for the future of Southglenn? I have filed criminal reports with the Arapahoe County Sheriff. You people now belong to me.
