Village East Neighborhood

PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT ISSUES

Things have certainly slowed down regarding Planning and Development around the Village East neighborhood compared to the days of working with Legacy Partners on the Crestone Apartments project and Miller Weingarten on the initial planning of the Gardens on Havana.

Most of the Planning and Development applications we have received lately have dealt with new stores in the Gardens of Havana.

A little further from Village East, the City Council recently approved an overlay design plan that will be used whenever the area around the Fan Fair site on Havana and 1st gets redeveloped.  We were involved in working with the city's planning staff on that and also with new landscape standards for businesses located in the Havana District from 6th Avenue on the north to E. Dartmouth Avenue on the south.
