Cindy Miscikowski Takes Over Our Area.

Ruth Galanter leaves us at end of June, 2002.

On June 11, 2002, the Los Angeles City Council refused by a 9-6 vote to delay the redistricting implementation that moves our area from District 6 (Councilwoman Ruth Galanter) to District 11 (Councilwoman Cindy Miscikowski), effective July 1, 2002. District 6 will be entirely in the East Valley.


This means that Ruth Galanter, whom we elected and whose term runs until 2003, will no longer represent us. In her place, the City Council has decided to impose Cindy Miscikowski, whom we did nor elect and whose term runs until 2005. “Term limits” prevent Ruth Galanter from running for her office again.
