Cindy Miscikowski Takes Over Our Area.

By a 9-6 vote the Los Angeles City Council on June 11, 2002, refused to delay the redistricting implementation that moves our area from District 6 (Councilwoman Ruth Galanter) to District 11 (Councilwoman Cindy Miscikowski) on July 1, 2002.

Cindy Miscikowski's term runs until 2005. Our area will therefore be represented on the City Council for the next three years by someone whom we did not elect.

Effective July 1, 2002, Ruth Galanter's District 6 will be entirely in the East Valley. Her term runs until 2003. ?“Term limits?” prevent Ruth Galanter from running for her office again.
