URA July 17th Meeting

We are coming up fast on our next meeting. It will be at my loft, 219 2nd Ave N, Second Floor. (See photo) I hope to see an even better turnout than last month, especially because we have some really interesting things on the agenda.

Probably one of the hottest topics over the last few months has been Church Street Park and what is going to happen with it. Randy Morgan with the Civic Design Center/Nashville Street Life Project will be at our meeting to get input from us and discuss the formation of a residents committee for social activities in the park . This will happen just three days before he presents his findings to "the powers that be" (Parks & MDHA), so don't miss this chance to put your two cents in!!

Mike Spigot with the Music City Center Coalition will talk to us about the new Convention Center. They are looking for input from Urban Residents on this exciting new project..

We will also get to meet the owners of the new restaurant at 417 Union. If you haven't been there yet, then make sure you go soon.

Our Merchants Relations Sub-committee will update us all on their progress.

We want to come up with a unique logo for the URA so if we have any graphic designers, free hand artists, or just plain creative types out there, start thinking about a new logo. There will be a contest (YES, there will be a prize as well!)

Last but not least, don't forget to bring someone new with you!!
