We have several vacant lots in this neighborhood that have couches, chairs and shopping carts dumped in them. Kids have been playing on and around these eyesores and may end up getting hurt. I called the city and they refused to remove it because they said it was "out of our jurisdiction". Does anyone have any suggestions on how we can deal with this problem. It seems as if every vacant lot has things dumped in them.

In the City Government White Pages, there is a listing for 'Keep Denver Beautiful' and 'Litter Prevention' both with the same phone number of 640-6200. Under Public Works, there is a listing for 'Large Item Pickup Service' with a number of 640-2136. I don't know the location of these vacant lots, so I did not call these services.
