The Mission of the Department of Public Works is to foster and enhance an environmentally safe quality of life for the Citizens and Vistors of Baltimore City and its neighboring Counties by providing:

> Solid Waste Disposal Programs
> High quality Drinking Water
> Innovative and environmentally sensitive Wastewater Treatment
> A safe and efficient Roadway System for vehicular and pedestrian movement
> Effective Mangement of the City's Parking Operations and Facilities
> Engineering, designing and inspection of City-Funded Construction Projects.
