I live at 107 North Chadwick.  Vehicles blast dowm our street as fast as 65 miles per hour.  Residents young and older are put in danger by the recklessness not only by the drivers who race down our street, but also by our own city council who refuse to ok the speed bumps because of the expense.  I find it alarming that they are willing to spend money to remove and replace canopy trees, but not to insure the safety of those of us who pay those taxes.  Hello ........ ?

It is my understanding that the process has started to put in the speed bumps.

It is my inderstanding that the council thinks that the number of speed bumps recommended by the state and metro council will be too expensive.  True or not, it is my understanding that the mayor stated that the expense would necessitate a tax increase.

Today,I stood in my front yard and observed 50% of the drivers driving as high as 35-40 mph above the speed limit.
