University District Inc.

I've purchased my home in the Messick-Buntyn neighborhood about 6 months ago and I'm very surprised that no activities or meetings have taken place with the UDI association. There was recently a meeting held with the Messick-Buntyn NA and I hope many positive changes come along with the new president. But it just seems that the University District Inc. should be taking a more proactive role in the smaller neighborhood associations it's comprised of. Am I missing something here? Are there meetings or events I'm not hearing about? I want to be a part of all things positive in my neighborhood.
