Local Flotilla USCG Auxiliary
Flotilla 12-3 - The local unit of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, was chartered in 1947. As part of Coast Guard Forces, we support recreational boating safety through our Public Education, Vessel Safety Checks, on-water Safety Patrols and Search and Rescue operations. We also provide assistance to regular Coast Guard units in South Carolina coastal waters.
Who Are We
Who are we - The Coast Guard Auxiliary is the volunteer civilian, non-military component of the United States Coast Guard. Auxiliarists serve side-by-side with members of the Coast Guard and wear similar uniforms. We are a diverse group of about 35,000 people. Our love of the water, knowledge of boating, and willingness to serve fellow boaters binds us together to promote safe boating.
