Community Fun Day

Posted in: Berry Valley
I'm planning a community day. What type of activities do you think would be fun to have?
Suggestions?

Thank you for posting, and for taking the initiative to plan a community day. I'm disappointed to see that nobody has replied to your post with suggestions.
I for one was hoping to see some activity start to happen on this discussion board, and I hope this slow start doesn't mean that nobody is going to be willing to participate.
Community Day Fun Day ideas

A few ideas...Face painting, art station with large easels for painting. Story time in the gazebos. Set up a few of the portable basketball hoops in one location for a few games of horse or b-ball.

Meet and greet the board. Then also have some type of raffle where a resident can get a chance to win a prize when they sign up to volunteer on a committee.

Perhaps, have a few vendors come in to talk about fall planting and health screenings.

The location should be in the back of the community near the activity field.

Community Day sounds like a very good idea.  I have two teenage daughters and I often wanted to have something and invite their friends over.  Its a good way to meet the kids in the neighborhood, get to know them and in some sort of way make them feel apart.  I'd like to get an idea of what interests them.  let's give our young people something to do in the community.  Good way to keep them out of trouble.  How's that?Laughing
