Swimming Pool Regulations

TULLY MANOR HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

2009 POOL RULES

As usual, because of insurance requirements, it is important that we try to attain maximum safety.  Members of the Association are urged to enforce the pool rules and regulations at all times.  The following rules must be observed by all persons using the swimming pool area in order to ensure pleasurable swimming for all:

1.     SWIMSUITS:  Conventional swimsuits are to be worn at all times.  No cut-offs, long pants, or other general street clothing is to be worn in the pool at any time by anyone.

2.     No Glass containers inside the pool area

No Running, towel snapping, pushing, or dunking

No alcoholic beverages anywhere on Association property

No Solo swimming at any time, even by expert swimmers

No Dogs, cats, or other pets inside the pool area

        No Water balloons

        No Smoking

        No Foul language is permitted.

       No Illegal Drugs

3.      UTILIZATION:  Use of the area is limited to members, their children and guests ONLY.  In the case of rental property, the tenant shall hold pool privileges, not the owner.  An owner member or tenant member is responsible for the conduct of their guest(s) or anyone else admitted to the pool.  Each family is allowed no more than five (5) guests at the pool at one time.  Everyone using the pool facilities must observe the following:

A POOL I.D. CARD IS REQUIRED.  THE CARD MUST BE IN YOUR POSSESSION WHEN USING THE POOL FACILITY.

(a)   Guests must be accompanied by a member 18 years of age or older. I.D. is required.

(b)   Any family wishing to have more than five (5) guests at one time must secure prior permission from a member of the Board.

(c)      PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 14 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED AND SUPERVISED BY A MEMBER 18 YEARS OR OLDER. I.D. IS REQUIRED.

(d)   Shoes, clogs, flip flops, or some other type of foot covering must be worn in the pool area and from home.

(e)   All persons are to shower before swimming.

(f)     Food may be allowed in the  pool area as long as it and all trash are properly disposed of.

(g)   (g)  Games of tag or ball are allowed in the pool but must be discontinued if others wish to swim.  Discretion is important.  Please be aware of other people, especially very young persons.  (it appears this says that if one person wants to swim and others are enjoying a game of tag or ball in the pool area, not necessarily in the pool, then the game must cease to allow that person use of the pool. Perhaps striking the word ‘pool” is all that is needed.).

(h)   Self-contained life preservers and air-filled flotation devices may be used.  This will be done at the owner's risk.

(i)    No baby oil is to be used in the pool or in the pool area.

(j)    Chewing gum is not allowed in the pool or in the pool area.

(k)   Any child under three years old, any child not toilet trained, and anyone who lacks control of defecation or is incontinent shall wear a water resistant diaper and waterproof swimwear. Swim diapers and waterproof swimwear shall have waist and leg openings such that they are in contact with the waist or leg around the entire circumference.

4.     VIOLATORS:  Members who violate the pool rules and regulations may be subject to their pool privileges being revoked and/or fines/penalties being incurred.  First Offense:  May be required to leave the pool area for the remainder of the day.  Second Offense:  May be denied the use of the pool for one week.  Third Offense:  The offender will appear before the Board of Directors (with parents if a minor) prior to re-admission to the pool area.  Re-admission is left to the discretion of the Board.  A Board member has the authority to remove any individual violating the rules from the pool area for the remainder of the day.

5.      PARKING:  All bicycles must be parked in the bike rack outside of the pool area and will not be allowed inside the pool area.  Cars must be parked in the parking lot not on the street unless the lot is full.

6.     PRIVATE PARTIES:  Private parties may be held on Monday evenings by reservation.   Contact The Management Alternative office at (209) 544-3422.  Parties are subject to proof that a qualified lifeguard has been hired.

(a)   The party should consist of 20 or more people.

(b)   There will be a $40 fee plus a $25 cleaning deposit.

(c)   The presence of a lifeguard is MANDATORY and is not included in the fee.

(d)   Party hours will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

(e)   ALL POOL RULES MUST BE OBSERVED!

(f)    The member is responsible for the pool property and for the clean up of the area.  If this is not done by 9 a.m. the following morning, the Board of Directors will do it and the $25 cleaning deposit is forfeited.

(g)   If there is a private party of 20 or more people, the pool will be closed to all others.  If the number of people attending the party is less than 20, others may be allowed in at the discretion of the lifeguard.
