What is the Day, Date, and Time of the 8th Annual Fall Senior Safety Conference?
Monday, November 2nd - 10:30 am until Noon.

What is the Conference Format?
Seniors will begin registering at 10:30 am. The Conference itself will begin at 10:45 am with a Panel Discussion. Panelists will present a 3-5 minute summary of what Seniors should be wary of, and how Seniors can protect themselves and their property, during the Holidays. As their duties permit, participating panelists include:
Fulton County Sheriff?’s Office: Ted Jackson
Fulton County Police Department: Major Kenneth Hawkins
MARTA Police Department: Chief Wanda Dunham
East Point Police Department: Chief Leander Robinson
East Point Fire Department: Chief Rosemary Cloud
Georgia Long Term Care Ombudsman Program: Monica Graham-Clark, Ombudsman

A Question and Answer Period follows. Preference will be given to questions written in advance. The Moderator will select the questions to be posed to the panelists.

Where will the Conference be held?
In the Multipurpose Room of the H.J.C. Bowden Senior Multipurpose Facility.
Bowden is located at 2885 Church ST in East Point, at the intersection of Dorsey AVE. [Zip Code 30344] The facility falls under the auspices of Fulton County.

How much does it cost to attend?
Nothing; the Conference is free and open to all.
What is the purpose of the Conference?
The main purpose of the Conference is to let Senior Citizens learn how THEY can help avoid being the victims of burglaries, thefts, fires and scams during the holidays. A parallel purpose is to provide attendees informative literature relating to: Voting, Employment, Health, Safety and Security, Medicare and more. The Conference is sponsored by the Tri-Cities SALT Council.

Will you have tables for exhibitors?
Yes. Exhibitors will provide information about the services and products they offer to seniors. Most will bring ?‘give-away?’ trinkets and prizes for our Prize Table. [The drawing is held at the conclusion of the Conference. One must be present to win.]
