West Lanham Estates Civic Association

Posted in: W Lanham Estates

To All Residents of West Lanham Estates,

Welcome to our new neighborhood website.  Here we have a place to share information about our county and neighborhood.

We will be using the website to convey information as we go through the steps necessary to revitalize the West Lanham Estates Civic Association.

We will need to call several meetings in order to get organized.  Bylaws must be written and approved.  Officers must be elected.  The amount of annual dues must be set.

Once these steps are accomplished we will be ready to collect dues to establish membership.

Throughout the process of reorganization and afterwards the website can be a valuable tool for sharing information of interest to all of the residents in the neighborhood.

Please feel free to use the various sections of the website.

If you have comments or questions please contact the Website Coordinator.  Dick Henthorn

I certain it will take a little time to get used to how to use the various parts of the website.  One thing I have noticed is that messages posted by other civic groups also show up in the Disscussions area.

I think you can recognize the messages from our group because they will show that they were posted from W Lanham Estates Civic.  Look for the messages tagged with that information to find the ones of most interest to the citizens of our neighborhood.

Thanks

Hello neighbor,

Anyone living in West Lanham Estates is welcome to post their own comments to this discussion.  Simply read the first message and then click on "reply" to add your own thoughts.  Replying to the first message in the discussion will allow all of us to quickly find and read the messages from our friends and neighbors.

There are other messages from other neighborhood groups listed.  If you aren't interested in what they had to say just ignore those postings.

If you want to start a discussion on another topic you can do that.  Just click on Start a Discussion.

Parking Awareness

As many as five cars parked on the west end of Garrison Road recently were given parking tickets.  The reason this happened was because the cars weren't parked facing in the direction of traffic.  Be aware that you can't legally park on the wrong-side of the street.  To avoid a possible ticket just turn your vehicle around and park facing the way the traffic flows on that side of the street.

In our neighborhood we are not allowed to park on the grass.  You must either park on a paved driveway or on the street.  Also, you can't use the front yard of your property to construct a parking area.
