Hello Neighbors

I bought this house thinking we could fish! My grandparents lived in Towne Lake until two years ago and we fished here. I was so excited thinking what a quaint little spot for me and my 2 kiddos to enjoy. So disappointed when I saw a no fishing sign. Now there is no family enjoyment to be had from our little neighborhood lake.  Throw in the general decline of this neighborhood, there's little joy left about living here at all.

I want to see about residents (only) of this neighborhood being allowed to fish. Like they had been allowed to do for a long time. I totally agree that having strangers coming here would not be a good thing, I also feel that we who bought a house by the lake expects to and should be able to use our lake. So I would be willing to help however I could.

I'm throwing this out there, neighbors, to see if any of you have helpful information like the gentleman/lady of this post does. Ideas or thoughts.

Neighbor,

Depends on who you listen to:

Some obscure document that some person claims to have states: No Fishing

While many of the original owners, who bought our homes directly from Gemcraft were assured that owners who lived in TownLake had complete access that included fishing. The lake has been stocked over the years and fishing (depending on the president) has been allowed off and on again.  (by the way, stocking was at the expense of TL)I believe most owner don't mind if someone is fishing from their backyard (if they live here in Towne Lake) but when strangers pulls in with a pack of kids whooping and hollering....Well it get some old timers panties in a bunch.....Not to mention the rash of car break ins that we been having, trash, fishing wire left behind...etc...Personally me, I love fishing the lake, but the board, or who ever, has very poor lawn maintenance. I would be afraid of snakes in the high weeds and when who ever did cut the lake side, they just left the clippings (more like hay harvesting) on the ground. (waiting for a match)....TLW
