TTNA Meeting Minutes 12.18.08

Meeting Held at Cardinal Cafe (northeast corner of 1st and Burnett Streets)

 Opening ?– Welcome and Round Table Discussions
Aaron opened the meeting @ 7:10 pm

 Review of Minutes from Last Meeting
Nov.?’08 minutes were reviewed and accepted.

 Financial Report: Treasurer was not present to give a report.

 Ongoing Business
By-Law Changes: Discussed meaning of changing by-laws so that board members can serve more than two consecutive years on the board. Bill motioned to pass changes and Alice seconded. Unanimous vote.

Two Way Streets Progress: Discussed suggested email logos for the campaign. Don Driskell suggested that we used OLNC to push to two-way initiative.

Toonerville Park Wall- Nancy reported that 2nd Street Association gave $300.00 towards the wall.
~Zalu: Need TTNA members to attend
~OLNC: Kristin Furnish attends.
~Crime and Safety: TTNA members need to attend

 New Business

2009 Election of New TTNA Officers Reviewed nominations from the past minutes. Discussed each nomination and voted. Phil DiBlasi was unanimously voted as president, Rebecca Kessler voted as Vice President, Aaron Jent was voted in as Treasurer unanimously as well. It was a unanimous vote, that Ethel Hazard not continue as Treasurer due to her inability to attend meetings regularly. Secretary position did not have a nominee. Jodi agreed to continue until one could be found.

Brookleigh Arms Apartments, 1251-1252 South Brook (Smurf- Village): Discussed the purchase of this property and that all residents will be leaving by 1/15/09. The apartments will be re-habbed for mixed income units.

Engine No. 7 Fire Station Closing (6th & Limerick): Discussed residents putting signs in their yards opposing the closing. Don Driskell discussed concerns that this may be too late and that earlier action may have helped.

Old Louisville Holiday House Tour: Don reported that this was the best year ever.

Old Louisville Hunt: Don Driskell reported that he is launching a website that will focus on Old Louisville businesses and offer coupons. It will be an easy guide for individuals wanting to tour the area to access local businesses and coupons. Don will keep us posted and will have more information. Go to www.oldlouisvillehunt.com
