PIC: August Meeting – The community had a discussion regarding two-way streets with an engineer who came to the meeting representing the Metro Traffic Director. Toonerville and other organizations had a great showing at the meeting. We discussed the fact that the city needs to do a study, which will cost $40,000. We discussed concerns regarding the study being skewed. We discussed advocating that the study to cover the impact of economics, such as the value on real estate, etc. We discussed the importance in having open communication with the people who are against the two-way streets. We discussed getting copies of the Old Louisville master plan that supports two-way streets. Ken Plotnick will get the master plan to Phil to distribute electronically. Discussed putting together a letter to Councilman Unseld expressing areas we want this study to address.

Need for a light at Preston and Ormsby was discussed by Ken Plotnick. Traffic is so fast and dangerous. Ken has written an email to Donna Sanders of Unseld’s office regarding this.
