Grants for Your Community
|
$500 to $3,000 for Your Neighborhood’s Next Project
The Community Microgrant supports resident-led projects that bring neighbors together, improve well-being or address neighborhood needs. Eligible neighborhood organizations, including HOAs and resident-led groups in rental communities, can request $500 to $3,000 with no matching contribution required.
Applications are reviewed as received through March 15, 2027, or until funds run out. Watch the required pre-application workshop, then apply through the city’s grant portal.

Grants of up to $50,000 to Expand Programs for Charlotte Teens
The City of Charlotte’s Office of Youth Opportunities (OYO) will award grants of up to $50,000 to help organizations expand or enhance existing programs for teens outside the school day.
Eligible applicants may include nonprofits, community-based and faith-based organizations, recreation providers and other groups currently serving teens ages 13-18 within the City of Charlotte. Applicants must have existing programs, services, spaces or other demonstrated capacity to deliver the proposed programming. They must also have the programmatic, administrative and financial capacity to carry out the work and manage city funding.
Grants can help expand activities after school, on weekends and during teacher workdays. Funding can support additional staffing, transportation, meals, supplies, program space and other participation costs. Funding is designed to supplement existing resources, not replace them or cover the full cost of a current program.
Applications open Oct. 5 and close Nov. 2, 2026.
