Need to run errands during the day while the sitters are all in school? Wishing for a kid-free evening out but cannot leave the little ones with a teenager?

Several parents in the neighborhood would like to start a childcare exchange program. It?’s simple to manage and easy to participate. Here?’s how it works?… You sign your family up to participate in the program. In exchange you receive 15 coupons, worth an hour each. Your coupons can be redeemed with other participants for taking care of your children. You earn more coupons by caring for other participants?’ children.

To join, please contact Ann Dieleman at 891-9789 or adieleman@kc.rr.com. Make sure to provide your name, address, contact information and children?’s names/ages.

***Area Recycling***
Did you know residents of Thousand Oaks filled the Blacksher truck the week after Christmas? A feat that usually takes more than 400 homes. Check out Metro Recycling. Winter hours are Wednesday-Friday from 11-5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8-4 p.m. The bins are located north of the Mall by the movie theatre. There are also newspaper and magazine bins located at Union Chapel Elementary.
