The Tartan's Glen addition, even though it is build directly across the street from an Elementary School is not child friendly. Perhaps the founding fathers of TG were a little short sighted when they planned the development. There are no playground areas in the addition, yet the by-laws are very stringent as to what type of play equipment can be placed on the property. If a child would like to play on the Arlington Elementary School equipment, they must cross St Joe Center Rd, or as I would call it "The walkway of death".
Perhaps the older residents of TG have forgotten what it's like to be a child, or raise a child Certainly not everyone has the kind of money that could facilitate building a playset to the associations by-laws standards.
Bottom line: If you have a child, and want to raise them in a child friendly environment, Tartan's Glen is not that place.
