Gateway to Superstition Foothills

As you turn off of Highway 60 onto Superstition Mountain Drive, you will pass through the large iron gates. This will begin your journey through one of the most breathtaking communities in Arizona. As you proceed on your drive, you will be mesmerized by the beauty of the lush sonoran landscape.

Superstition Mountain

Regardless of which community within our association you visit, you cannot escape the magnificent views of the Superstition Mountain. This mountain has lured treasure seekers for over 120 years. Surprisingly, most of these adventurers felt they discovered their "prize" when they first viewed this splendid mountain.

As you travel through the community, you will find our Recreation Center. You will enjoy the heated swimming pool, spa, barbeque area, and covered picnic areas. While you are visiting this area, you will be able to soak up the sunshine and enjoy the incredible views of the Superstition Mountains, Dinosaur Mountain, and the Silly Mountains.

Superstition Foothills Community Owners Association

Superstition Foothills COA is a "Planned Community". According to the Arizona Revised Statutes, Title 33, Chapter 16 #33-1802, the definition of a Planned Community reads as follows:
"4. "Planned Community" means a real estate development which includes real estate owned and operated by a nonprofit corporation or unincorporated association of owners, created for the purpose of managing, maintaining or improving the property, and in which the owners of separately owned lots, parcels or units are mandatory members and are required to pay assessments to the association for these purposes."

Transition Made in December 2003

At the annual homeowners meeting in December of 2003, the transition was made from a developer-controlled board to a home-owner controlled board. Elections were held at the same meeting to seat the new Board of Directors. The following owners were elected: David Kaubisch, three year term; Pat Prince and Bob Benjamin, two year terms; and Don Cline and Elece Maguire, one year terms.  Since that time, annual elections are held in December of each year  to fill stagfgered director positions.

2010 Board of Directors

Janice Cunningham was elected President of the SFCOA in January 2010.   At the December meeting of the Board of Directors, Don Cline, Jeff Downing,  and Rick Reynolds were re-elected to the Board of Directors.  Anne Cornelius has one additional year remaining on her term of office and Janice Cunningham has two additional years.
