2011 October - Summit HOA Update

Fellow Summit HOA homeowners:

I am pleased to let you know of some recent improvements and
activities on your behalf that will benefit the Summit neighboorhood. 
First, you may have noticed that work has started on improving the parkway
along the Huntsman entry to the community.  This is long overdue and I
want to thank Barbara Foster for her great work in beautifying the Huntsman
slope this year, and for reaching out to the adjoining association that
controls the parkway to get this former blighted area cleaned up and
re-planted.  Additionally, we now have a lighted Summit sign at our
Huntsman entry point.

Finally, I would like to thank Dennis Fischel for
volunteering to be the HOA liaison with the O.C. Fire Authority as our
representative on their new Fire Safe Council.  He will participate along
with the surrounding associations in this important prevention program designed
to keep our homes safe from wildfires.

The HOA board of directors will be meeting soon to begin
discussions about the 2012 agenda and to recruit volunteers for next year’s
four board positions.  If you have a little time and can commit to helping
your association in some way please let me know.  The four board positions
will be open for nominees (president, VP, secretary, and treasurer) so please
consider volunteering for one of these and let me know if I can add your name
as a nominee.  The actual time commitment is very minimal but our bylaws
require this four-person board.

Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to
seeing all of you in February at our annual meeting.  An announcement
about this meeting will be sent along with the 2012 assessment and the ballot
for board positions sometime in late December.
