My mom's husband said he heard on the new that there is a scam going on in Burleson. The robbers come to your house pretending to be selling burglar alarms. They ask pertinent questions about your house, and ………then come back and rob you. The news said Burleson…….but it could be used anywhere. Thought I'd pass on the info

When the guy came by pushing the GE system, I mentioned the story to him and he said these TV reports were fabrications put out by their competitors. When I asked if he had the proper city permits to sell things door to door, he showed me his ID badge... not his permit. I think it was a scam.

If they were selling an alarm system they dont need a city permit they do need to be licensed through the state and should have their license avaialble to show you.
