Neighbors have joined together on Sea Isle between Quince and Willow to fight the constant trash problems we are having.  Drivers and Colonial Middle students are bad about tossing their trash in the street and yards.  We have installed trash cans at 4  corners about 2 blocks apart, used plastic electrical straps to secure cans to posts at the corners.  So far, catching on.  We puched holes in the can bottoms so rain water can drain.  Several neighbors have been out reminding the students to toss it in.  Need several more cans to complete the full strip, think it is going to improve our situation...maybe in the future could get CANA cans with our logo for Quince, Perkins, etc...Hopefully, get better cans like the metal mesh type; maybe even get McDonalds, Fred's other businesses to donate.  Still in trial period but looks promising.

Need to talk to   Colonial Middle school, about making an announcement, to student  about throwing trash on the streets, they should be informing the student of this, after its there student that are causing the mess.

Talking to the school is a joke. We've tried.  If everyone starts calling, it may help. They  expect us to pay  more taxes to have teacher's aids walk kids to the bathroom but let them run wild and supervised as soon as the day is over.

The police said the only way this will stop is if we call every day when school lets out to tell them we need crowd control and supervision to keep these kids and their shining examples of parents in line.
