Architectural Advisory Committee Report

The Architectural Advisory Committee met at the pool with David Garrett from Premier Communities last week. The group reviewed committee functions within the association and new business. The committee welcomed new committee member Richard Crucknol. Members Drew Schunk and Niki Brooks have exited the committee and space is open for new members. The committee meets periodically to review submitted architectural applications. They also work with David Garrett regarding neighborhood concerns or protective covenant violations. The purpose of the committee, as created in the Declaration of Protective Covenants, is to help maintain property values by ensuring a system of review for exterior improvements.

According to Article X of the Declaration, all exterior improvements must be approved by the committee before construction begins. This includes, but is not limited to, swimming pools, storage units, gazebo?’s, patio covers, etc. The committee bases its decisions on the provisions set forth in the protective covenants or previous precedent.

Please remember that the spirit of the committee is to work together as a neighborhood to maintain a high standard of living and aesthetic appearance.
