Has anyone had any success in reporting code violations ( such as overgrown weeds on property, storage of recreational vehicles on city streets, storage of company trucks in front of peoples houses )to the CSPD? There are numerous instances of these vioations in our neighborhood. I've complained many times to the CSPD, but nothing seems to change. Isn't there a way to enforce these violations?

City vs. County: Mixed Messages

I've been researching the enforcement of neighborhood covenants/codes lately and have encountered what appears to be some legislative dichotomies. Specifically, it seems the county has codes published (see http://www.elpasoco.com) that contradict city (CSPD enforced) codes. An example would be according to county covenant, one cannot park an RV on their home property -- however, CSPD will not enforce the removal of the RV provided it is 10 ft removed from a city sidewalk. If anyone has any insight or would like to collectively address it would be appreciated.
