Do You Need Assistance?

Family assistance

The Division of Family Resources (DFR) provides various tools to strengthen families through services that focus on prevention, early intervention, self-sufficiency, family support and preservation. The division administers cash assistance, child care assistance, food stamps, employment and training services for low-income clients as well as Medicaid eligibility throughout the state.

Homeowner assistance

Hoosiers facing foreclosure can call a toll-free number;

 877-GET-HOPE. This toll-free, confidential help-line is available 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily, at no cost to the consumer. Services include budgeting help, a written financial plan or assistance in contacting lenders. Whenever possible, counselors assist homeowners over the phone. If more extensive assistance is needed, the counselor refers the homeowner to a certified foreclosure intervention specialist.

Employment assistance

The one-stop system, known in Indiana as WorkOne, brings adult, dislocated worker, and youth employment services together under one roof.
