Standing Oaks Property Owners Association

dues that were sent out

Posted in: Standing Oaks

how about since I called the city hall today and found the pool would not be opening because of structual damage, how bought we cut the phone off on the pool? Thats 38.?? mth... Then we mow every couple weeks instead of every week? With a riding lawnmower that should be possible? Who is paying the electricity for "The Oaks" and the other "Standing Oaks" subdivisions currently? Are we and if so why? Cut their electricity off? Why are we not getting money back this year from the pool that was never used? Where is that money going? How did we get 6k in the hole? Why haven't we had more money to discuss what is going on financially then one time a year possibly two?  We apparently new people on the board that nobody knows about?  Instead of using so many envelopes/ stamps, how about we email, or the people that have email access save the stamp, envelope, and fancy letterhead... Nobody has this kind of money in this neighborhood and that is why people are walking away from their homes. There is a rent house that is behind us and its ridiculous and has been that way over a year. What happens now to them? Nobody has sent messages out about how we are correcting the problem... I've heard of several POA board member meetings but nothing for the people that are expected to pay this... In order to want to pay the 108.00 there is going ot have to be cut back and proof? How many times do we call the attorney and what for? Is he the cheapest lawyer we can get or a family friend?  Is there a cap on POA dues? IS that in our papers?  After speaking to the city today, we are the only subdivision in Pea Ridge that they know of that have the poa???

LOL....I'd like to know who you spoke to at the city who told you that.

person at city hall had the coversation with the pea ridge building inspector can you prove otherwise that They are wrong or bring a letter to the next meeting with a signature?

I say it's time for the POA to Go! We should get a petition together to abolish it..at this point it is more of a headache than a benefit to us property owners!
