Sorry for all the late replys but I did respond to each e-mail that I received.  I too evacuated the area on Friday morning (9/5/09) and recently returned this past Wednesday (9/17/09) afternoon to return to work.

They continue to update the site daily.

There are numerous houses in the neighborhood that are running on generators.  Most PISD schools are closed until further notice.

FEMA is also close by, they are located at the VFW across from Ellington Air Force Base on Highway 3 and Dixie Farm Road.
