I'm not advertising any business of my own, just trying to inform my neighbors of what I think is a pretty good deal (plus -- full disclosure -- they told me I also get a credit if you mention my name and adddress if and when you switch to this service).
I don't know about the rest of you, but I've become dissatisfied with AAA Disposal. I've had a broken top on my roll-away trash bin for a long time and raggedy recycle bins, which AAA has done nothing to replace, and I've had missed pickups as well.
I've just contacted American Disposal Services, a family-owned, Virginia business out of Manassas and was surprisingly pleased with their rates for service.

Their rates are: $34 per month for curbed trash on Mondays and Thursdays and recycle on Wednesdays, and $44 per month if you want garage door pickup, without having to curb your bin.
In addition to providing a roll-away trash bin, they also provide a roll-away recycle bin, rather than the individual box bins, so you don't have to separate your types of recycled material (cans/glass, paper or plastic) anymore -- they use single-stream recycling, so it all goes in the same bin and they separate it on their end.
