"The County has finalized their funding program for 2000. Some 39 projects for roads, bridges, traffic items, drainage are in the budget.

Fire districts are working on speeding up response time, they have been presenting fire prevention programs to various groups.

Centennial airport serves only light general aviation and corporate aircraft. So far Douglas County and Arapahoe County have voiced their opposition to a regularly scheduled airline. This is becoming a tougher issue all of the time.

The US Census Bureau is still in urgent need of census takers. A goodway to make extra bucks."
