Good For subdivision

I think the sidewalk program is a great thing for our subdivision, this will be an added bonus to our community.

Finally Sidewalks

I am glad there will finally be sidewalks were there is now grass. Now my kids don't have to cross the street to ride their bike. It is unfortunate for the homeowners who bought their house before this, and now must pay for repairs.

I understand neighbors concern

I am not as in touch with the need for repairs as Robert. He seems to think
there is a need to proceed with repairs. I will rely on his evaluation.

One concern I have is that I feel the City of Southfield is somewhat
responsible for the foot of my driveway sinking down due to standing water
in the street at the foot of the drive whenever it rains. (They want me to
redo the last 20+ feet of my drive; what they call the ''approach.'') The
city reps I've spoken with do not accept any responsibility.

I understand neighbors being disturbed at the costs. Concrete work is
expensive, disproportionately expensive for what you get when compared with,
say, a new, large TV or an interior home improvement.

It's nice that there is a ten year payment plan.

Hi I just come back from Canton and a program is being put into affect there also. I do concrete and a customer was very upset with everything he had to do. A company got all the work and is doing 3 dollars a sg ft. I never have agreed with the property being the cities but yet the homeowners responsability. But I have never had there job or responsability so I guess I cant judge to harsh.
