Dear Sonoma Ranch Neighbors:
I'm sure you are as fed up of the speed bumps, the excessive number of USELESS STOP SIGNS on Ruidosa Downs. ( I say "useless" because some STOP signs seem to be "Personal Signs" designed and placed, for and by the "home-owners" of homes by each stop sign so that they can FREELY park their cars on the street and BLOCK the stop signs and create an obstacle course for drivers.
As if the excessive amount of STOP SIGNS was not enough, speed bumps were placed in the same vicinity, "I smell a rat, " I'm beginning to wonder-who lives in those houses? Are they so POWERFUL that they deserve a PERSONAL STOP sign and PERSONAL SPEED BUMP? I dread driving through that area and would rather go around Candelaria street and then I tell myself "this must be exactly what they want-they want to have the ENTIRE street to themselves and by making so inconvenient for the rest of us, they've gotten their wish" These people should be told by the HOA they need to park their cars AWAY from the STOP signs. (Better yet, their garage or their own driveway)
I think SOME stop signs are reasonable and should stay put but others do NOT belong and should be removed. Stop signs at a street corner or in front of the neighborhood club house should stay but the stop signs in the MIDDLE of the street (such as the one on Ruidosa Downs and Dona Ana) should be removed. Otherwise, the same privilege should be granted for every single resident wanting to have their very OWN "personal STOP sign" placed in front of their house.
While I agree that people need to slow down and drive no faster than 25-30 miles an hour, I think we should all put it to a vote to get rid of the annoying speed bumps and ridiculous "personal stop signs".
