Ok, I realize that the 710 freeway will never go though our neighborhood; but will it EVER be built at all?

We have been waiting for over 30 years, and still nothing is happening to ''close the gap'' between where it ends in Alhabra, and where it makes to connection to the 210 freeway in Pasadena.

Some people say freeways create more traffic, smog and health issues. But as far as I can tell, Highways without stop signs and stop lights are the only way to get the commuter traffic off of the surface streets (unless we had a ''perfect'' public transit system, which we don't and probably never will). And the only way to minimise ''stop and go'' (which increases polutants and noise and safety issues) is the multi-lane highways with signals only at the on-ramps and off-ramps.

But since South Pasadena says they don't want the freeway, and other neighborhoods in Pasadena are saying they don't want the freeway, it may not be completed.

How can we get the commuter traffic off of the residential streets without more freeways? How can we divert traffic around Pasadena?

Do you want a freeway? Do you want the 710? Do you want a different ''routing'' for the 710?

Do you have other solutions to solve our traffic and commuter problems?
