I wanted to see if there was anyone else in the neighborhood who was unhappy with the snow plowing this year?

Yes... there's one more household that was COMPLETELY dissatisfied!  The complex was NOT shoveled, the ice was NOT removed and it was unsafe for EVERYONE who drove through here.  We thought there were funds, and a resource, at the "ready" so that when the snow occurred the streets would be plowed.  We realize that the snow was high and the person selected to plow may have had issues with snow removal in their own neighborhood.  However... we were under the impression that the reason a person was hired to remove snow was because they had the equipment, personnel and skills to REMOVE SNOW!!  If not, hire someone else.

Rumor has it that a relative of the president of the association was hired to replace the previous contractor.  Again, if the relative does not have the EQUIPMENT, personnel or skills, then hire the person who does.

This is not rocket science folks.  This is SNOW REMOVAL.  We paid for someone to do the job.  Let's see that person DO THE JOB!!!

I was extremely dissatisfied as well. If you went through the HOA news letter we recieved in the fall of 2009, you may have noticed we pay over $8,000 per year for this "service". I agree with a previous poster who wants to dissolve the current HOA and have an outside company manage their duties.
