When Elderly are living alone and you see signs of inactivity, Knock on the door, give them a call. When there going out of town encourage them to let you as a immediate neighbor know when there leaving and when they shall return and keep up with there mail and papers.
Oh yea, be observent of there home and property call a contact number and check on the situation or call the police. Better Safe than Sorry!
