Vandals and bumps

This neighbor writes:

If the individual who did the ?“yard jobs?” is over 18 years old, then I think the individual(s) should accept the consequences of an adult for this serious vandalism. I think that the police should give the individual(s) a ?“hair-follicle?” drug screen. Then give them a Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory to see if there is any psychological pathology. If there is drug abuse/dependence, put the person(s) in a drug rehabilitation program. If the individual(s) have personality disorders or neuroses, then put them in inpatient or outpatient treatment. If there is neither drug abuse/dependence nor personality disorder, then a neighborhood mild ?“caning?” would be appropriate. If the police won?’t allow this, let them be the propitiation for the adult(s) and watch the police respond more quickly and with more assertiveness. If the latter doesn?’t work, then work the way up to the alderpersons and mayor. Just because our country is becoming more ?“sick?” or narcissistic does not mean that this local community has to follow that unhealthy path.

No speed bumps which is reactivity. Let?’s be proactive and have neighborhood crime watch and do like the people who followed the mud trail to the doorstep. Congratulations on step one!

speed bumps

No Speed bumps. They hit my exhaust pipes. It cheapens the area. Grooves that rattle your car are as effective and less damaging to underside of low cars.

no speed bumps

I am against speed bumps on Davies Manor and St. Philips Drive. The installation of speed bumps is a gross inconvenience that would penalize the large majority of law abiding neighbors, and would lower our property values. The idea of speedbumps appear to me to be a knee-jerk reaction to a very small number of speeders and vandals. Let's maintain the wonderful country feeling and setting to our neighborhood, and not let a few bad apples cause us to change for the worse. Thank you.

speed bump and city

Speed bumps have been suggested in the past and Mayor McDonald states
that Bartlett is concerned by the potential liability of them and the
costs.
