Shadow Creek Neighbors

June Newsletter

Jun 04, 2002

After all the rain comes all the heat I suppose, looking out the window. Before you know it, these green lawns will want to be watered, so it may be time to review the year-roud watering restrictions imposed on us by Del-Co Water. Going from memory now, the last time I reviewed in with my water bill even numbers water on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and Odd numbered addresses have Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, and NO ONE is allowed to water on Mondays (I suppose Monday so they can drive around and check up on us).
If this is not correct then let me know.

Also, school will be out the beginning of this month, so be on the lookout again for more pedestrian foot/bike traffic in the street, and for those that have children, everyone (I think) would appreciate them respecting other's property. It really shouldn't have to be reminded, but it appears that some still haven't accepted the fact that not everyone wants ininvited children to use their yard as they wish. I myself try to turn the other cheek when occasional balls or bikes land within my boundaries, but when it becomes a habit or damaging to my property, I'll have to let them know they are on private property, not their property. Parents, please know where your children are and what they are doing. Sometimes we feel too 'safe' until the next terrorist hit, and it can happen in our own backyards. Each year children are abducted from their own neighborhoods, and I don't want to read about it happening in Shadow Creek (or anywhere else for that matter!). Have a great summer start and happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!
