What can I do about NOISE!

Posted in: Martin Drive Neighborhood has new web site wwwmartindriveorg
I don't know if anybody reads this board anymore, but I am fed up with the noise on my street. Loud, bass heavy music cranking at all hours, rowdy people in the streets at night in unmarked cars making noise, and honking repeatedly morning, noon, and night. You can only call the cops/the landlord so many times before it gets old. Is there anyway to get an increased police presence to deter this kind of activity? Is anyone interested in starting a ''keep it down'' campaign?
I hate that it has to come to that.
What are your thoughts?

Noise

I agree that noise around here can be an issue. I suggest contacting the police and making complaints. They can be ticketed. Is it an owner occupied building or owned by a landlord? You can look this up on the City web site. I often write letters to landlords letting them know what is going on at their property. Get to know your neighbors so you can complain together. Good luck.

Noise

Call the police for noise? Do you know the response time for such a complaint?
I'm guessing it is way behind the shootings, etc.

What else can we do?
